While in some parts of the world the options for enjoying a fine cigar are shrinking (looking at you, France), in Monaco the scene has recently gotten a whole lot better.
The Monte Carlo Cigar Club opened its doors in May 2025. Four months later a good friend and client of ours invited us to experience this mecca for cigar lovers. This is a members-only club located in the heart of Monaco, inside the iconic Monte Carlo Casino building.
We entered through the main entrance of the Casino, then took a right turn and were greeted by a discreet yet unmistakable welcome booth.

If you’re already a member, you just have to ring the also discreet bell. Mention your name, and you will be granted access to the elevator. The cigar club is located in the right wing of the Casino building, right across the Hôtel de Paris.

It features a postcard-worthy bar; a walk-in humidor full of regular release and special edition cigars; an indoor lounge that exudes luxury while having a contemporary design and not being as «heavy» as other cigar lounges; and finally, a lovely terrace.

The terrace has modern, minimalistic, and comfortable furniture. The floor is beautifully covered in white tiles and small black ones.

There is very discreet and elegant lighting that highlights the great Beaux-Arts architecture of the building. The sea view on the left; the view of the Hôtel de Paris right across the street; and the «One Monte Carlo» buildings on the right complete the picture. We can only imagine how nice it will be to enjoy a cigar at the club while the Monaco Grand Prix is taking place.

The night went by quickly as we savored fine cigars from smoke.ch and enjoyed the wonderful stories shared in the company of our fellow cigar enthusiasts.

As we reminisce about the evening, we realize what a great experience this club offers for the cigar aficionado: an exquisite selection of cigars; fine spirits and drinks; ample space; great ambience; seclusion while still being in the heart of Monaco; and stunning views. Also, on a personal note, I loved the wide stone ashtrays of the indoor lounge that perfectly matched the tables, and the even bigger ceramic ashtrays on the terrace that had their own tables to accommodate the guests.
