Cohiba Robsutos

The expression “Cohiba” is unique in itself, because it does not come from Spanish, but is a loan word from the indigenous Taíno Indians, which refers to the wrapping of the tobacco leaves. Various characteristics make a Cohiba cigar the most exclusive of the Habanos. Above all, the origin of the leaves is unique – they come exclusively from the five best Vegas de Primera in the Vuelta Abajo tobacco-growing region, more precisely from the San Juan y Martínez and San Luis areas. Another characteristic feature of a Cohiba is the third fermentation of two of the three filler leaves, which gives the Cohiba its irresistible aroma and unmistakable taste. A real classic in the Cohiba range is the Robusto. The classic format with a ring gauge of 50 (19.84 mm diameter) and a length of 124 mm is already one of the world’s most popular formats. In conjunction with the name Cohiba, this is a guarantee for a successful cigar. The Robusto is one of the stronger cigars of the Cohiba brand. Its brand-typical complex aroma, enriched with the popular grassy notes, is combined here with strong and earthy roasted aromas. These unfold in increasing variety over a smoking time of around 60 minutes.
